A 2012 blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Sangiovese. This wine has undergone extended aging in neutral oak but retains its fresh fruit flavors. Vintage 2012, alcohol 12.3%, 0% Residual Sugar.
Clear, bright red is noticed immediately. Both varieties can be distinguished in this blend, white pepper aromas from the Syrah, and strong black cherry and strawberry from the Sangiovese. Tannins are round with only some hints of oak and astringency on the mid-palate. The finish is strong and maintains its fruit-forward nature throughout.
Pair with lean red meats like lamb chops, baked pasta, and tomato butter sauce.
